Kristy Leibowitz

Kristy Leibowitz has been capturing and enveloping the essence of life through her photos, film and sculpture. Kristy’s work has been featured in the Wild Style Exhibition and Trashion show produced by Gallery 151 in Soho. Through her active involvement at Deitch Projects Gallery, Kristy has been involved in countless exhibitions, including Womanizer,  The Armory Show and Art Basel Miami Beach and work has been showcased in some of the most popular books created by Deitch Projects like,  The Nest,  Beautalism, and a New York Minute. Kristy began her career as a photojournalist working with various newspapers, and media companies including The New York Daily News, and Getty Images. In 2006, Kristy was commissioned by the New York City Housing Authority to direct a mosaic revamp of public parks in the Bronx and Manhattan. Prior to beginning  her freelance career, Kristy attended Parsons School of Design in New York City.
